Non verbal communication in Nigeria has been affected politically and also been expressed in rhetoric’s of semiotics, Most Nigerians elect their leader who expresses dominace and power through there use of non verbal cues because minimal pre-election debate are carried out. The raise of the right hand of the president is a traditional way of greeting in Nigeria and the president is always supposed to been seen in the traditional wears and not the western wears, as the citizenry see it as non verbal cue to exhibit the Nigerian culture to the world.
1.      Nodding your head: its means when saying Yes to emphasise that they agree with the other person
2.      Shrug of the shoulders and a sad expression when saying “ I’ am fine thanks”:  May imply
3.      Shaking your head: its means No to emphasise that they dis-agree with the other person
4.      Eye contact: its means where the amount of eye contact often determines the level of trust
5.      Eyes contact its means trustworthiness

6.      A nod of the head between colleagues in a community meeting may means something very different from when the same action is used to acknowledge someone across a crowded room, and again when two people are having a social conversation.
